Anonymous Call Rejection

Enables you to reject calls from anonymous parties who have restricted their Caller ID.  Rejected callers are informed you are not accepting calls from unidentified callers. Your phone does not ring and you will have no indication of the attempted call.

How it Works (Phone Menu)

  1. Select Menu
  2. Select IP Service
  3. Select Call Features
  4. Scroll to and Select Anonymous
  5. Select appropriate line
  6. Select On
  7. Select Save
How it Works (Feature Code)
  1. Selecting Menu on the phone
  2. Selecting the desired line
  3. Dial *77. You will hear a message saying "Your anonymous call rejection service has been activated successfully."
  4. To deactivate, repeat the process but use *87.
Call Forwarding Always

Allows you to redirect all incoming calls to another telephone number.

How It Works (Phone Men)

  1. Select Menu, Select IP Service, Select Call Features, Scroll to and Select Call forward, Select appropriate line, Select Unconditional.
  2. Select On/Off to enable/disable.
  3. Select Phone Number and enter number to forward calls.
  4. Select Save.

  3. To activate dial the feature code listed below.  To deactivate, repeat the process but use the deactivation code.  You will hear a confirmation message.

    Call Forward Always: Activate *72, Deactivate *73
Call Forwarding All Calls to Voicemail

Allows you to redirect all incoming calls to voicemail.

How It Works (Feature Code)

  1. Selecting Menu on the phone
  2. Selecting the desired line
  3. To activate dial the feature code listed below.  To deactivate, repeat the process but use the deactivation code.  You will hear a confirmation message.

    Forwarding All Calls to Voicemail: Activate *21, Deactivate #21
Call Forwarding All Calls to Voicemail When Busy

Allows you to redirect incoming calls to voicemail when the line is in use by another call (note this is turned on by default for all lines)

How It Works (Feature Code)

  1. Selecting Menu on the phone
  2. Selecting the desired line
  3. To activate dial the feature code listed below. To deactivate, repeat the process but use the deactivation code.  You will hear a confirmation message.

    Call Forwarding All Calls to Voicemail When Busy: Activate *40, Deactivate #41
Call Forwarding No Answer

Allows you to redirect calls to another destination when an incoming call is not answered with a specified number of rings

How It Works (Phone Men)

  1. Select Menu, Select IP Service, Select Call Features, Scroll to and Select Call forward, Select appropriate line, Select No answer.
  2. Select On/Off to enable/disable.
  3. Select Phone Number and enter number to forward calls.
  4. Select Ring Count to enter number of rings before call is forwarded
  5. Select Save after each entry.

Call Forwarding No Answer: Activate *92, Deactivate *93

Call Forwarding Not Reachable

Allows you to redirect calls in the event that your internet connection or power is not working.  It is advisable to set this up when you initially establish DigitalTalk Express service.

How It Works (Feature Code)

  1. Selecting Menu on the phone
  2. Selecting the desired line
  3. To activate dial the feature code listed below.  To deactivate, repeat the process but use the deactivation code.  You will hear a confirmation message.

Call Forwarding Not Reachable: Activate *94, Deactivate *95

Do Not Disturb

Allows you to set your phone as unavailable so that incoming calls are given a busy treatment (typically forwarded to voicemail).

How It Works (Phone Menu)
To enable this feature on the phone (Base Unit or Cordless Handset):
  1. Select Menu
  2. Select IP Service
  3. Select Call Features, Scroll to and select Do not disturb, Select appropriate line.
  4. Select On/Off to enable/disable.
  5. Select Save.
How it Works (Feature Code)
  1. Selecting Menu on the phone
  2. Selecting the desired line
  3. Dial *78. You will hear a message saying "Your do not disturb service has been activated successfully."
  4. To deactivate, repeat the process but use *79.
Calling Line ID Delivery
Enables the delivery of your number and name to the called party. This feature is automatically enabled.
Calling Line ID Block Per Call

Prevents the display of your number and name to the called party on a per call basis. Before placing a call, dial the assigned code, and then places the call as usual. Note that this service is active only for one phone call.

How it Works (Feature Code)

  1. Selecting Menu on the phone
  2. Select the desired line
  3. Dial *67 and the desired number, all in one string.
Calling Line ID Block for All Calls

Allows you to prevent display of your number and name to the called party all calls

How It Works (Phone Menu)

  1. Select Menu
  2. Select IP Service
  3. Select Call Features, Scroll to and Select Block Caller ID, Select the appropriate line.
  4. Select On/Off to enable/disable
  5. Select Save after each entry

How it Works (Feature Code)

  1. Select the line to apply this feature by selecting Menu
  2. Select the desired line
  3. Dial *31. You will hear a message saying "Your call line ID blocking service is now set to hide your identity, thank you."
  4. To disable, repeat the process but use #31.
If this feature can be has been activated, you can allow the display of your number and name for a single call. This is accomplished by selecting the desired line, dialing *65 and the desired number.
Call Waiting

Enables you to answer a call while already engaged in another call. You can even see the incoming caller's Caller ID information. This feature is enabled on all lines by default.

How It Works (Phone Menu)

  1. To answer the waiting call, the user presses the switch hook button.  The user connects with the waiting party and holds the original party.
  2. Pressing the switch hook again, the user reconnects to the original party and holds the waiting party.
  3. Each call is hung up when any party hangs up.

How to Disable for All Calls (Feature Code)

  1. Select the line to disable this feature by selecting Menu
  2. Select the desired line
  3. Dial #43
  4. To re-enable, repeat the process but use *43.

How to Disable for a Single Call (Feature Code)

  1. Select the line to apply this feature by selecting Menu
  2. Select the desired line
  3. Dial *70. You will hear ring back then a new dial tone. Now enter in the number you wish to call. Your call waiting service will be disabled for this one call.
Place a Call on Hold and Retrieve on another Phone

This feature allows you to place a call on hold and transfer to another phone.

  1. During a call, press hold.
  2. Go to the other phone.
  3. If the other phone is the Base Unit, press Line Status, select the line that has the call on hold.
  4. If the other phone is a Cordless Handset, press Line, select the line that has the call on hold.
Name or Label Handsets

To make transferring calls easier, you can identify each Cordless Handset with a name of your choosing.

  1. On the Cordless Handset, press Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Initial Settings.
  3. Scroll to and Select Handset name.
  4. Press Select and use the keypad to enter the name of the Handset.
  5. Press OK when complete.
  6. Under Standby Display Select On to have the name of the Handset displayed on that Handset.
Intercom

This features allows you to communicate between extension and the base unit.

  1. On the Base Unit, press the number of the Cordless Handset (1-6). The name of the Cordless Handset will be on the display and the Handset will ring.
  2. On the Cordless Handset, press Menu, select Intercom, select the Base or name of the Cordless Handset you wish to call, and press Call (see Name or Label Handsets).
  3. If you have multiple Cordless Handsets, you can use the Intercom feature to call between them.  On the Cordless Handset, press Menu, select Intercom, scroll to the desired Handset, and press Call.
Call Transfer

You can transfer calls to another phone or to another even to another location

One button call transfer can be done from the Base Unit to the Cordless Handsets:

  1. During a call on the Base Unit, simply press the button (1-6) on the Base Unit of the Cordless Handset to transfer the call.
  2. When the Cordless Handset answers, hang up on the Base Unit and the call will be transferred.

To transfer an Outside Call to an Outside Party:

  1. During a call from an Outside Party, press Menu.
  2. Select Transfer, you will get a dial tone; dial the number to transfer the call to.
  3. The number you are transferring to will ring.
  4. You can then press Transfer immediately to Blind Transfer the call, or wait for the transfer party to answer and then press Transfer (=Warm Transfer).

To transfer an Outside Call to an Inside Party (Base Unit or another Cordless Handset):

  1. During a call from an Outside Party, press Menu.
  2. Press Intercom.
  3. Select Base or the desired Cordless Handset.
  4. You can then press Off or Hang Up to Blind Transfer the call.
  5. If you wait for the Inside Party to answer (=Warm Transfer), you can press Off to disconnect yourself from the call or Conf to have a three way conference.
Direct Voice Mail Transfer

Direct Voice Mail Transfer allows you to transfer a call directly to a voice mailbox.

How it Works (Feature Code)

  1. While on a call, place the caller on hold by pressing the HOLD button.
  2. Dial *55
  3. Select the desired line you want to forward the caller to and select CALL. You will hear a short ring then a message, "To transfer your call to your mail box press the '#' key or hang up".
  4. Press the '#' key or hang up and the caller will be transferred to voicemail.
Three Way (Conference) Call

Enables you to make a three-way call with two parties, in which all parties can communicate with each other.

How it Works (Feature Code)

  1. To initiate a three-way call while engaged in a regular two-party call.
  2. Press Menu and select Conference. Dial tone will be heard.
  3. Dial the third party.
  4. When the third party answers, press Conf to forms a three-way call with all parties.
  5. Once you hang up, all parties are released.
Voice Messaging

DigitalTalk®Express comes complete with a business-class voicemail. Voice mail allows callers to record messages for calls that are not answered within a specified number of rings, receive busy treatment, or are transferred directly to voice mail. Incoming callers are given the options to review and change their message.

How to Setup (Phone)

  1. To setup voice mail for the first time from the Base Unit, press the voice mail button, and select the appropriate line. Your temporary voice mail password is 1234#.  Follow the prompts. Repeat if you have multiple lines.
  2. To setup voice mail for the first time from the Cordless Handset, press Menu, Scroll to New Voice Mail, and select the appropriate line. Your temporary voice mail password is 1234#.  Follow the prompts. Repeat if you have multiple lines.

How to Retrieve Messages (Phone)

  1. Your DigitalTalk®Express Base Unit and Cordless Handsets will display "New Voice Mail" when you have a voice mail message. The Base Unit Voice Mail light will also flash.
  2. To retrieve a voice mail message from the Base Unit, press the voice mail button, and select the appropriate line. Your temporary voice mail password is 1234#. Follow the prompts. Repeat if you have multiple lines.
  3. To retrieve a voice mail message from the Cordless Handset, press Menu, Scroll to New Voice Mail, and select the appropriate line.
  4. To manage the number of rings before your voice greeting answers, simply dial *610 from the desired line and respond to the prompts.
Call Return

Dial back the last party that called - even if you didn't answer the incoming call.

How to Setup (Phone)

  1. Press the CID soft-key from either the Base Unit or Cordless Handset(s).
  2. Scroll through the list of calls to see the name and number of previous callers.
  3. Select the name and number you wish to call, Scroll to the line you wish to place the call from.
  4. Press Call.
Last Number Redial

Last Number Redial allows you to redial the last number you received.

How to Setup (Phone)

  1. From the Base Unit, press the Redial button.  Scroll to the desired number, press Speaker phone button or pick up handset to dial.
  2. From the Cordless Handset, press the Redial button.  Scroll to the desired number, press Menu, select Edit and Call, press Call.
  3. Alternatively, dial *66 from a selected line, the last number dialed will be redialed.
Speed Dial 100

Enables you to assign up to 100 frequently called numbers to two-digit codes.  These 100 frequently dialed numbers are stored on the ACN network.  Entry of the two-digit code is preceded by a configurable prefix: 0-9, A-D, *, or # (default). Users can program the numbers directly through their phone using the respective feature access code (*75 default).

How to Setup (Phone)

  1. Select the line to apply this feature by selecting Menu, select the desired line and dial *75. You will hear ring back then a new dial tone. Now enter in a 2-digit number plus the number you wish to call. For example: 11-123-456-7890. You will hear a message, "Speed dial 100 programming succeeded, thank you".
  2. To dial a Speed Dial 100 number from the Base Unit, press #, press the two digit number. Wait for the number to ring, then proceed with the call via Speakerphone or pick up the handset.
  3. To dial a Speed Dial 100 number from the Cordless Handset, press #, press the two digit number, and press Call.
Handset In-Use Indicator

This feature allows you to see the availability of handsets on the base station. This indicates whether the handset can accept a call.

How it Works

Music on Hold

Music on Hold enables you to play music when a customer is on hold! You can either use the default music or upload your own. This feature only supports .wav files.
